Friday Favorites: Don’t Miss This Deal Edition

Hey Hi Helloooooo Friday!

Next week is going to be a busy one; I already know it. I’ve got 2 tests, half of a project due, I start my Full-Time position, with some Dr. Appointments thrown in there. It’s just another week, but school-wise it’ll be hectic. So I am going to enjoy this weekend!!

FridayFavorites3_zpsea6fc451

However, time goes on and it’s Friday….so it’s time for my favorites of the week with Andrea, Erika, and Narci.

FALL1

NF

IMG_9259

Have you heard of NF? I was recently introduced to his music by a friend and he quickly became a favorite. Sometimes I don’t want to listen to country music or Christian music when i’m working out…I need something that is going to pump me up. But I haaatteee the lyrics of rap songs. I don’t use the term hate often, but it’s just awful. NF is a Christian rapper and his songs can get me pumped up. You should check into his music, you know if that’s your thing 🙂

FALL2

Fall

IMG_9299

This is fall. Sunday was in the 70s, I had my slippers on, a fresh loaf of Pumpkin Spice bread baked, a cinnamon cider candle burning, and a cup of green tea in my hand while I was working on school work and had football on the television. Does it really get any better? This is my favorite time of the year.

FALL3

Baseball

IMG_9279 IMG_9308

This is my pastime. Watching baseball. My Saturday morning and my Monday night were spent out by the ball field watching two of my favorite boys play their favorite sport.

FALL4

Monday’s Frittata

IMG_9272

Randi said she made this the other morning and loved it. I am so so excited!!! Has anyone else been able to make it/have any feedback? I made my mom try it and she thought it was good as well. I told her it was healthy and she said “gross” haha. I’ve brought it to work in the mornings this week and it’s been the perfect breakfast to heat up and snack on. My favorite recipe that i’ve come up with this far!

FALL5

A GREAT deal!

jewelrywithprices

Okay, friends!!!! Let me just start with this disclaimer: this is not real Kendra Scott jewelry. However, I found all of these Kendra look-alikes and I immediately thought of you all. Why? Because you’re my favorite people. And when I find new favorite things, I have to show my favorite people. I just somehow have this hunch that you will jump all over this. I’m going to add these to my “Shop My…” page with these prices plus shipping (where you can follow the directions there) and get your items. EEEK! Look, I love these. They look EXACTLY like Kendra’s and nobody knows the difference. And you’re paying four times LESS than the actual price (literally). I know for me that is huge. These also make great gifts as well. I got the blue necklace above for my sister….I really hope she’s not reading this right now since I haven’t given it to her. 😉

There are more styles, but these are the ones I picked out originally. You can pick your own style, pick your favorite color, and get styled!! Or just get some gifts for Christmas off your to-do list!

IMG_9315  IMG_9324

You’ll have to excuse my awkward selfies, but I wanted you to see what the earrings look like on someone. I wore this pair to work the other day and they made the perfect statement. And. They. Look. The. Exact. Same.

So head over to “Shop My…” and snag your deal! 🙂

Happy Friday!

God made girls

I have some exciting stuff for you today, friends!!! It’s the very bottom of this post, but don’t skip the middle! 🙂

I’m introducing you to an online boutique that i’ve fallen in love with. You won’t be disappointed! I first heard about Taralynn’s through Andrea at Momfessionals. I was intrigued by Andrea’s carpe sequins post immediately, so I clicked on Taralynn’s site and it was history from there. I talked with Tara herself and she is an absolute doll. She sent me some clothes and I took pictures in them yesterday. I couldn’t even wait to show y’all. There will be two more posts sometime after this one with the other outfits. Be checking back!

Yesterday as I was looking at these pictures when I got home, the song “God made girls” kept running through my head. I don’t know why, but it’s all I could think of. First of all, I adore Raelynn’s song. But second of all, the lyrics are perfect, especially for today as I show you a little snippet of the girly part of me!

God made girls to dress up and model clothes.

IMG_4618

God made girls to laugh at you when you do something funny.

IMG_4636

God made girls to be tough.

IMG_4658

God made girls to be playful.

IMG_4692

God made girls to be over-analytical.

IMG_4695

God made girls to be crazy and fun.

IMG_4697

God made girls to be confused and skeptical.

IMG_4700

So God made girls.

IMG_4706

If you’re a fan of this yellow and navy hoodie, snag one HERE. These are the best! The sleeves on this shirt were long on my short arms, but I had mentioned something to my photographer and she said you can’t even tell. It’s funny how we sometimes think about things that nobody else notices. Other than that, I had nothing bad to say about this sweatshirt. It was fleece-lined, cozy, and perfect fitting. I love these two colors together, but if you’re more of a red-lover then there’s a red option as well. This is coming to yoga with me!

I love being a girl. I love getting to try on new clothes.

IMG_4740

I love smiling, being happy, and taking pictures.

IMG_4745

And I also love throwing a complete 180 and being serious the other half of the time.

IMG_4738

But, best of all I love when God makes girls you get to call your sister.

IMG_4795

I love my sister. She’s been my pal from a small age.

IMG_4803

Morgan makes me angry, Morgan annoys me, Morgan gets cranky. But there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my sister, nothing at all. God obviously thought we needed each other and whether we realize it now, we will someday. Remember your sisters today!

IMG_4805

We’ve gotten close recently, which of course i’m happy about. I’ll be sad when she leaves for college. Yesterday when we were driving back from taking these pictures I said, “what am I going to do without another girl in the house next year?” she replies: “well you have mom.” I love my mom and i’m glad she’ll be there, but it’s not like having my baby sister.

IMG_4806

My mom thought this picture was funny because we are NEVER serious together. Morgan is either making fun of me or we are arguing about who stole whose clothes from the other’s closet.

IMG_4826

Morgan, I love you for being my partner in crime forever and always. I thank God for making girls and making you my little sister. I hope I have taught you everything (good) that you know. I hope you learn to love life, have fun, love God, and count your blessings. And Morg, you may have been self-conscious about not wearing make-up in these pictures, but girlfriend you are b.e.autiful! PS. Lana, thank you thank you for taking the pictures!!

If you’re thinking this white tribal hoodie is more like you, it’s right HERE. I’ve got a small on, but make sure you pay attention to the sizing next to each option. Taralynn’s sight has crazy reasonable prices (like there’s a $6.00 bracelet y’all!), unique clothing, and a fun feel to the website! Thanks for sponsoring this post, Taralynn’s Boutique!

What’s on…your feet?

Today I’m linking up I thought I was linking up with Andrea for her “what’s on…?” series. However, this morning on her blog was about her cute friend Manda and her battle with cancer. My heart aches for Manda and her family. So, I am praying for her.

I still thought today I would post this month what’s on…your feet. How funny, because I posted about what was on my feet all last week!

knit slippers

Then, my wednesday pin-spired was: booties and bluejeans! So falltch! (get it, instead of so fetch, mean girls reference, anyone?? yeah that was pretty stupid. okay i’ll stop)

Now, when i’m working out, these bad boys (ASICS Women’s GEL-Noosa Tri 9 Running Shoe) are on my feet. And I love them, at first they felt weird and I was unsure about them, but we have grown to get along very well and I realized I wasn’t used to all that padding and support in tennis shoes because I always had nike frees and let’s be honest those are just meant for looks.

IMG_2102 IMG_2147

When i’m hanging out with my girls at the fair/rodeo these Western Bootsare on my feet.

IMG_1770

And if you read my PINTERESTed in post back on the 24th you saw about my love for these leopard flats. I’m sorry for the caps below and everywhere, but i’m just SO excited! The flats are

FOR ONLY $12 RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

IMG_2280IMG_2222

And the fact that I talked mom into getting herself a pair 🙂
Her specific pair is not online, but the link above is a close match…also on sale!

IMG_1932

I took some pics for ya yesterday for what my feet were sportin’ and…that’d be some sandals. It was kind of warm to me yesterday and when I went to yoga in the morning I wanted something that could be easily taken off.

IMG_2443

Like so…

IMG_2447

And then at Church I had on some leopard flip flops to match my leopard scarf. Hehe, of course!

IMG_2451

I got my leopard flip flops (I know it is hard to tell) a long time ago, and i’m actually trying to replace them because I use them so dang much, i’m considering this cute pair though!

As I was looking last night, I saw that there is a HUGE SALE going on right now for heels and flats at Target!! And what better timing than fall/before Christmas???

If you don’t need anything for yourself don’t worry about it, do some Christmas shopping friends. Bargains, bargains, bargains!! I could go on, but i’m going to stop because…this is overwhelming. Comment and tell me what you get and what you love!

Happy Monday!

Fav Things Party

All fall favorites under $10, y’all! Linking up with Andrea and Erika!

Favorite Things PArty

1. This Essie nail polish.

essie-nomorefilm

Actually, you know what. ALL essie nail polish for that matter. This color is just what I put on Saturday and the polish is $8.49 a bottle. I got a light blue for my mom, sister, and I to wear to the beach this past summer. Last week my mom put on a Revlon color and said “I’m throwing all these bottles of Revlon polish away and we’re getting Essie from now on.” This is serious if pack-rat Polly (aka my mother) is wanting to throw something away!!! This stuff stays on so long and it covers REALLY well. This bottle is dark blue/purple/black looking polish and I love it for fall.

IMG_2296IMG_2316

2. Ice Sparkling Water

ice drink

Okay, this is the best drink. The lemon-lime in particular, tastes just like Sprite, so if you’re trying to get away from soda this might be a good way to do it, and there’s carbonation in the drink. I know some people are just addicted to the carbonation. This is $1.00 at Target right now, I saw a special going on. When you’re there getting groceries or shopping, snag one to put in your basket!

3. Target

We already know about my love affair with Target from my PINTERESTed in post, but look.

THESE boots right here are buy one get on 50% off!

So buy these boots here

Let me tell you. I’ve had all three pair of these shoes (which recently have come out for fall online at Target) and i’ve worn them so many times that i’m getting another pair because i’m scared they might give out soon. Perfect and cozy for fall!

4. Christian Reading

I haven’t read any of these books yet, but I have heard good things about them, so I will be ordering them and reading them soon. Reading is such a relaxing thing to do when you have some quiet hours.

Love the Gel-Noosa, light weight, good support and stunning at that. Can’t ask for more. A five star running shoe.

I did size up a bit (a half size) as I do with all Asics but these shoes are a lot of fun, supportive, and they get a lot of attention. I’m enjoying them!
Most of these reviews are saying to go up a whole size when ordering.

2.) AND, Amazon’s deal of the day is 45% off select ASICS Women’s GEL-Storm 2 Running Shoe. WOW?! Running shoes for Under $50?! Say it ain’t so. Go now and check out the sizes and colors! I’m telling you, you might have to get yourself a pair of ASICS, this offer is only valid for TODAY ONLY!

These shoes have 4/5 stars. Most reviews said they run a little small, so get a half size larger or more.

Here’s what one review said:

By Kristen on July 25, 2014

Color Name: Storm/Flash Yellow/PinkSize Name: 8.5 B(M) US Verified Purchase

I have very narrow feet and very flat arches. What I need in a shoe is arch support and for it to be tight enough.

These are one of the only pairs of running shoes that I’ve found that are narrow enough for my feet. I usually have an issue where the front of my foot flops around back and forth because of the width. There is extra room to breathe on the sides, but my feet stay in place fine. Also, they can lace VERY tight if you want them to be tight or if your foot is flatter on top than mine is. I don’t have to lace them very tight to be snug in place. Also there is a good solid arch support inside, not super high but definitely there and enough to keep my foot properly balanced and ankle upright.

I am an 8 1/2 generally in most shoes, although tennis shoes sometimes I am a little smaller (on the end of size 8). These fit exactly right in an 8 1/2 which probably means they’re a tad fit smaller than some expect.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend these for wide feet.

These are super comfortable! Because of my flat feet, being on my feet all day leads to pain in my ankles and knees. I wore these for about an hour the day I got them and my feet were totally happy… the next day I was setting up for an event and walking and standing constantly most of the day and my feet felt great the whole time! It is completely unheard of for me being on my feet that long for my feet to still be happy by the end of the day. Also didn’t feel like I had to break them in really as I didn’t get any blisters or sores or stiffness. Flexible comfortable shoe.

I think I’m in love!

3.) ONE LAST THING! Starting at 10:00am this morning these Tony Lama Ponteggio Smooth Cowhide Western Boot
are 38% off! Cowboy boots for $200, oh my gosh. These are my pair:

IMG_1771IMG_2140IMG_1226IMG_1650

These boots are so much fun for game-day, the rodeo, country concerts. Whatever. You. Want. They have a 5/5 star review. And really, you can’t go wrong.

Okay, now click these links and get to purchasing your new shoes!!
