Right now we are in between two of the best Holidays of the year. And to show you just how THANKFUL I am for you, today i’m giving away the ultimate Colors of Life blog gift. It’s a MERRY Chranksgiving (Christmas + Thanksgiving ;)).

Ya know, since this is the Colors of Life blog I decided to go with a theme. I am going to giveaway an item for each Colors of Life post i’ve done this far. All to make a HUGE gift.

 One of my first COL posts was about my time at The University of Oklahoma. So for my OU post, i’m giving away these tailgating napkins. I just don’t think some of you out there would’ve appreciated the ol’ crimson and cream like I would 😉

My next post was on Friendships. For my friendships post i’m giving away these initial mugs for the winner and a friend of their choice, along with a gift card to Starbucks. Those two can enjoy a Starbucks date with new mugs!

The post on my health leads me to think of a healthy lifestyle. One thing i’ve found that really works for me as well as something I really love…is yoga. And what’s the number 1 brand for yoga? Yep, Lululemon. For my post on health, I threw in a Lululemon Headband. LOVE these. This one is the flyaway headband and is highly recommended.

Then I blogged about my relationship with Jesus. When I think about that relationship I think of the way Jesus and I talk..through the Bible. I’m including a Bible in this giveaway, if you have one that you like…give it to someone else who might not have one!

I talked about Quiet Times, so next is a copy of Jesus Calling, because this is what I use during mine and I definitely believe you need this in your life. Again, if you have a copy, I challenge you to give it to someone who might not.

As for crafting…I crafted one of these chocolate sleigh (thanks Pinterest). You need chocolate. And it fits the time of year.

Eating Disorders was a hard one for me to think of something for. However, I chose to give away food…two of my favorite bars/snacks/desserts to keep me healthy but still feeling good about myself. Ps i’ll be willing to negotiate your favorite flavor if you’re not a fan of mine 😉

Being an introvert is something else I know about myself. For this COL I chose this wooden plaque. I feel like there are so many meanings to it, and I really like message especially when referring to introversion.

The color of my life that is blogging led me to give away a pair of earrings that every. blogger. wants. or has. It just makes sense.

Having a Military Father. Gosh, well i’m not giving away my dad so instead a red, white, and blue picture frame. It’s festive, fun, and will be great decoration all throughout the year. Cute army guy not included 🙂

Anxiety and Depression really go hand in hand for me. The best temporary relief for these two colors of life is Bath and Body Work’s Aromatherapy. I promise you will love it.

A Homebody. To which many of you can relate. I read Let’s All Be Brave by Annie Downs about being brave. She talked about leaving home and other life experiences where she was forced to be brave. It really made me think and now I want someone else to read it and be challenged by it!

And last but not least…A Night Owl. These socks are my absolute favorite. You can pretty much find me in fuzzy socks no matter the season. And these are night owl socks. They’re perfect!

My Last First Day + Giveaway

It’s that time again. You know the time where our clothes are picked out, our lunch is packed, our binder and backpacks are all put together and we decide we’re going to make this the best year we’ve had yet. It’s back to school time.

I never thought this day would come…my last first day of school. And I am more than excited about it. Some of you probably loved school, but not me. I’d pretty much rather be doing anything else than sitting in a chair for an hour and a half listening to someone I may or may not be able to understand try to explain this subject that I probably don’t care about. (Entrepreneurship actually wasn’t that bad.)

It’s about this time i’m getting pretty nostalgic. I know there’s a whole world out there ahead of me but school is all i’ve ever done come fall and spring. I don’t know what it’ll be like without it. But I think that’s the fun it in too. I’m sure later this week i’ll post some more “back to school” pics but for now i’ll let you just admire baby Morgan and baby Molly going to elementary school. Sweet shoes, right??

Favorite Things: Accessory

Oh. Man. Weekends go by way too fast sometimes. I’m going to make this Monday a little better but starting off with the monthly

link-up with Andrea and Erika. And this time we’re talking our favorite accessory!

I truly thought that today I was going to be telling you about allllll my scarves and how I love them and on and on and on. Saturday night I was going through my pictures and noticed…wait my favorite accessory may not be a scarf after all. It’s probably a statement necklace. Not just any ol’ necklace. A statement necklace! And get this: I didn’t need to upload any new pictures because I had so many, haha!

A couple weeks ago I posted this one after I spilled coffee on my shirt. Yet, y’all didn’t so much notice the coffee stain as I was getting compliments on the necklace 😉

Often times I find MY necklaces in my SISTER’S closet. Funny how that works, right? We bicker about it back and forth. She ticks me off just about every time I found one of mine in her closet. But I still wouldn’t get rid of her if I could. Especially, when I can go steal one for myself….HA!

I have no idea how I got this one, but I find myself wearing it on more occasions than most. I just feel like it’s so unique, but can be put together with just about anything.

I’ve got this necklace in this pretty teal color, a brown color, and a black color. I haven’t been wearing them as much lately….but now that I just remembered I need to wear it, maybe i’ll bring it out this morning?

Pretty much the first section I go to in Target is, well, scarves because they’re the closest to the door, but THEN the necklaces. And I spend lots and lots of time looking through the necklaces and finding so many that I want. Like this one. It’s just so different and I like different.

I love me some yellow. Yellow anything, please! Y’all know that’s my favorite color so when I say this is my absolute favorite necklace, I’m NOT LYING!

This one just screamed “21st birthday” at me, so that’s when I wore it. And I loved it. It made a statement, matched my outfit, and helped me look good as I knocked back the mimosas 😉

I have a bunch of red necklaces. This happened to be one of my favorite outfits that I threw together around Christmas and this necklace went perfect. It had chunky with a lot of red to bring out the color in my leggings. And guess what? This is the most recent necklace found in sister’s closet. And yes, I totally acted like a grown adult when I threw a fit and got on to her about “never asking to use my things” and locking my door from now on.

The first day of work was no exception to the statement necklace rule. I wear. them. all. the. time.

And have them hung on my closet wall so I can just sit and stare at their beauty every time I walk into my closet.

I’m really not weird. I promise.

Sorry this picture doesn’t show my whole outfit, but I had this top paired with black work pants and could’ve easily thrown a vest over it.

Now this navy and yellow sweatshirt was comfy….a throw on when you get home with your pj pants kind of comfy. A wear to the grocery store on saturday morning so you don’t have to put on a bra and cute shirt kind of comfy. It comes in red, too and I think you will really like it!

This hoodie I will probably mention again, but I thought it was going to be way too long on me! It’s still pretty long, but it looks a lot better on than it does on the site. I think it’s a great piece for layering as well!! I’m seeing a scarf and long sleeved shirt under it one of these days 🙂

This super cute cardigan was totally on my list. I love this color – I have nothing like it in my closet. It looks like it could go over just about anything. It looks light for spring but warm enough for those random cold days, too.
